its a mk6 . they didnt make a mk7 it goes mk5 mk5b mk6 many places call the mk5b(the facelift mk5) the mk6 so the mk6 the 7 but there is no mk7

There is a MK7. It's a MK6 through & through, but with silly differences so negligable you can't even notice them.
