Author burn dvds from a .avi or .mpeg file

i have some files in .avi or .mpg format that i want to put onto dvd, what software do you all use to do this.

btw they are from my video camera

used to use main concept to convert avi to mpeg, then cucosoft to convert to dvd.

right convert the file using winavi converter....get the crack/keygen of google etc....then when it converts the movie to dvd file...open nero and all the files from the video file should go into the video folder of nero!!! need more help then contact me

and will that make it a dvd or vcd?

I just convert my avi divx files to dvd usin, the VSO Divx To Dvd program, only takes 1 hour to encode them, then they burn straight onto disc
