I have got the task now on removal and reffiting of new pas rack. Whats it like to do and can anyone help me. It says in haynes that the lowering of engine may be needed. Help

yes lowering of he engine does help just drop the rear mount and lower it a bit on a trolley jack
4 nuts for rack to car
1 bolt rack to steering column
and hydrulic hoses

Cheers stu_22 for the reassurance. Thats just what i was going to do. I just have to clear the metal part of the pivot and i'm off. I only need to drop rear at most 2cm.
I normally use youre local scrappy at kensworth. Parts are really reasnable

I did it. What a mission but well worth it saving a few bob. Passenger side gear box mount needed lowering but it werent bad considering i've got a 2.0 xe in there.
