Erm....dunno wot else 2 luk 4 then.Check its all above board tho coz my mate bought a 106 rallye phase 2 from a gatage & then 6 months later it was repossed as the previous owner got a log book loan against the car, didnt pay it back & part ex'd the car 2 the said garage so my mate lost the 2k he paid for the car & has no proof that it was even bought fair n square from the garage.

Wasn't suggesting that, was just laughing at the fact you'd call a 106 gti a run about in comparrison to your corsa, although I do understand it's a bit of a show car

I agree
although mines been fine, new clutch, driveshaft, ABS sensor, idle control unit needed adjusted. Thats all touch wood
dont think its too bad considering the kicking it gets on the track every so often, 48 runs at crail one time

check idling, lumpy idle can mean faulty lambda sensor, although not too expensive to fix, also check for noises coming from the gearbox indicating bearing wear, these are the only major probs i can think with them at the moment

oh and check to see if second engages easily if not, can mean either faulty synchromesh, or a common fault on early models where the linkage was too short

well it was cheap for a reason, scratched to fcuk, arches stuck back on by a blind man, made a well wierd noise just as it fired up, sounded like the starter wasnt dis engaging properly, passenger seat broken, lots of engine repairs for 58k!!!
walked away quickly!!

By the way i own a Peugeot so i speak from experience, the bodywork is so so thin on french cars that if you fart near them they dent.
