Its spot welded on I think?
Hammer it sideways see if you can get a big screwy in the gap and just lever it out. Don't know what state you'll leave the floor in though.

yeah i went outside and had a look underneath and it appears to be spot welded on... ideally don't wanna risk buckling the floor or pulling a bit out so i think it may be a bit of a hacksaw job unless someone like broster/jr/robmarriott .etc with stripped cars has done it?

i ripped it out
then welded up the 4 little holes it left
failing that
get a spot weld drill bit and drill the top of the weld off and itll fall out

yeah, you cut it out, and weld a new plate over the recess

i did it, i hut it wit ha rubber hammer till it fell out! it left 4 holes in the floor where the spot welds were

Ur all novices as greg says:
you drill the spot weld out A LITTLE , like the top layer and then hammer and chisel the spot weld. 10 mins tops it'l take.
