Over the last few weeks my engines been sounding worse and worse and all the noise seem to be coming from the belt (left) side of the engine, the cam belt was changed not more than 2k ago so i dont think its that,the alternator belt looks worn (brownish colour,little cracks all along it).anyone know(or had the same thing) and if so what was it?

if its a loud squealing noise its the altenator belt.
about a tenner for a new one and u can fit it in 5 mins.

yeah that is ya alternator belt mate.
i got a new one for mine for £2 genuine vaux part to.
to 5 mins to replace in my dinner break.
probably cost u around £10 to get cause i got trade discount with mine.
