manta's are tight for space with xe/let's, can only assume thats why it has funny arrangements.

yeah, i suppose so, either that or its a non standard turbo, tubular manifold, and the TBs are upside down to make the throttle cable look tidyer
bet it goes well either way

theres a tidy one in TV this month, pretty sure its the one i got a run in once...was rather nippy.

this ones not too bad, we had it on the road a few years ago, need to get it in the garage and get it sorted when my mates nova is gone, shame its a hatch tho

probably, think they are...just not as good looking, well suppose its not the worst. needs new rear arches (half fitted) and some patches on the roof done, the rest is pretty good. its got a good 2.0 cih in it with some unknown engine work, got a cam of some sort, 4 branch etc, certainly goes well. got a mint recaro interior for it too (the early chequered one, like the nova sport).

my mate has a mk1 cavalier which has a very similar engine bay to that and he is putting an xe in and u then realise how hard it really is to fit them in!!!

mk1 cav is basically a manta b different front grille, badges, trim, thats about it.

yeh they are pretty much the same and u use the same 1.8 manta mounts for an xe!!
But there is so much fiddling about when u put them in there and all a bit of a bugger to line up!!!
i want a manta a as they can look very nice!!!

yeah they're use 1.8 box, sump and oil pick up too.
think alot of 1.8s had LSD's as well...i had a 1.8, sold off all the bits, silly boy.
