i own a sri 8v corsa.
my brother now wants to get a corsa but not sure what to get, out of sri, sport, gsi etc
he wants reliability, and performance,
we are both not realy sure about the difference in performance on the 1.6 compared to the 1.4s engines.
any help will be appreciated.

yes i supose, i told him to get the same as me, because they are supposidly more reliable and easier to fix.
plus i dont think there is much diff in performance between the tree models.
though im no expert.

i would get the 1.4 sport, faster than the sri, only abit slower than a gsi but sport is alot cheaper to insure and tax

LOL, by going wrong did you have to by 2 replacement cars?
I cant think of any job that will cost £4k to fix on a corsa.
The 16v's have got a bit more to go wrong, are harder to work on and need to be looked after a bit better. The old 8v's are very common and replacement engines can be had a lot easier and cheaper. They're less powerful, less tunable and less efficient though.
