Currently have 1.4 16V sport. I have been offered a 1.6 16V engine for 150 notes. Is it worth changing over and what power gain would i get?

14xe - 89bhp
16xe - 104bhp (I think)

My 14xe has been chiped and keeps up with 16xe's, just have me in 5th

yes well worth it, as long as you got the ECU &transponder chip key thing you can swap them in less than a day

yeah mate, the extra torque is worht the effort

broster had a X14 and with a lot of work, only got 105bhp, with the same spec on an X16, he got 124bhp, then mapped properly, it got 138bhp

i'm swapping for a 1.6 soon

My 1.6 got 132bhp and wasnt mapped properly, it needed it BIG time
