indeed.
The PS3 graphics used is already outdated (mainly compared to the PC), but the 360 is months ahead of the PC.

xbox360 can handle single threaded games a lot better than the ps3(despite the fact that both consoles were built for multi- threaded games)so for the first 3 years at least the xbox360 will have better game graphics, since multi-threaded games are 3-5 years off.
It might pay to wait for the nintendo revolution, to be released after the other 2.
Nintendo and sony keep quiet about their up and console specs, unlike microsoft who like to blab and show off.
It just allows the other companies to know what they're up against.

Think it's £279 if you go for the full package of xbox 360 but there is a cheaper one that's not so good. have a look on game or something

Lol developers have been told to make 360 games multithreaded.
Would be a waste of time if they weren't.
Games are multithreaded atm anwyay. They have just to be sent to different processors now.
And about the xbox 360 being better on paper, the ps3 is technically .1 teraflop faster iirc.

I have a very powerful PC at the mo, the only reason i might be tempted to get a console is if they we're that much better.
theres not many games available for consoles that aint available for the PC (except tekken style games etc).

so you dont reckon people are tempted by the pure plug&play design of modern consoles. scuse me for being arrogant, but tihnk most of joe public cant be assed with maintaining and installing PC games whena console needs no attention at all

Nothing. It's just how it's programmed (all games are multithreaded nowadays anyway).

I prefer PC's to console, always have always will.
Only games I prefer playing on consoles and the only reason I own a X-Box is so I can play Fifa on it.

But for alot of serious gamers, they wont be that bothered if they have a high enuf spec pc as all the games available will be available on the PC.
(unless they have money to burn)

yeah sick of all these people going over the top for graphics fair enough might have nice graphics but whats the point if the gameplay is pants and you get sick of it after a few days ? thats why im mainly playing my nintendo ds quality of games that are coming out ar great, and im sick of all the people going overboard for the sony psp because the graphics are good, but the games out suck in short. never be able to get games as good as the snes or megadrive again i belive
