my printer suddenly stopped working when i tried to print!
in the printer menu under control panel their is no default printer icon!
when i go to add new printer it comes up with a error saying their is no printer spooler??????

click start, goto run, type in services.msc, scroll down that list and see if print spooler says its started or stopped.

this is what it said now??
"could not start the print spooler service on local computer
ERROR 1068: the dependency service or group failed to start"
and under status it is just blank , it does NOT say started!

Click on the Dependencies tab, see what Print Spooler depends on being running (usually RPC), then make sure that's running first on the original Services screen...

Thats worying, the only dependancy should be RPC - out of interest have you actually tried restarting your computer?
