I have receved several calls from this number over the past couple of weeks, and each time, I either answer & the line goes dead, or they hang up before I have time to answer. I did a search for the number on Google & it came up with stuff about scams & the number being a premium rate etc... also mentioned that it occurs a lot with Orange users (which I am)
Has anyone else experienced this, or does anyone know who/what company the number belongs to?
Needless to say, I haven't called the number back, as I don't make a habit of chasing wankers like this.... but if it is a scam, I'd like to be able to warn family/friends, or other suckers that may fall foul of them.

i had a call from a number the same or similar - missed the call though then phoned it back and was like a dodgy annoying call centre place with recorded messages

But what do they call you for? Each time I have managed to answer (like on the 1st/2nd ring).. they hang up after a second or 2, without saying owt.

bt pay for numbers and then call to promote themselves.
