id go for the power choice ive got a 2.0 16v merit with no frill on the outside just 15s cause of the turbo brakes its a real double taker

owned a rs2000 for a short while till it gave me loads of problems. It was brilliant being able to beat so many cars,
but some of the cars i beat just looked good and didnt need to go fast.
just recently had a 1.3 escort with a full modded bodykt on, and it was satisfying driving round in that as people look at it. and even though i used to get beat by so many cars , most of them were s**t boxes and i knew my car was better.
i think it overally depends where you mostly drive, i drive in towns mostly so style for me.
but i supose if you drive distances alot, then i would pick performance

I absolutely want Beardy's shed, it's completely cool.
It's just a shame that Vaux didn't have the presence of mind to make the Corsa in a realy disgusting lilac, beige or brown like old Fiestas and Novas.
I'd have one like that if poss because the car still looks ahead of it's time, and is a very smooth shape, and particularly in red, is rather hard for it to look like an old clunker.
Ahhh, I can see it now - one of the aforementioned colours, a couple of small dents, a few scratches and rub marks, carefully left in direct sunlight without polishing from new so as to get a nice matt effect and pleasantly bleached bumpers.
Two carefully kerbed ugly Halfords wheel trims held on with cable ties and the remaining rims soaked in sea water for a couple of weeks, then lots of hard braking to achieve the desired level of brake dust contamination.
Adorn the rear end with pictures of terriers and 'i've been to Scarborough' & 'I heart my Corsa' stickers.
Fit one of those giant 1980s VAUXHALL rear window decals and a tartan blanket on the parcel shelf, plus aftermarket non matching colour coded bendy ariel, and not forgetting; the obligatory array of air fresheners, paying particular attention to the rear view mirror.
Then make a concerted effort to get the body as dirty as possible.
This is all of course done to a seam welded shell, fitted a with stealth black cage, coilovers, big brakes, sequential box and a loony spec red top with nitrous.
One day when i'm rich and unemployed, I shall do this

well the chap that was holding the xe for me is ready to break. so it looks like i'm getting the engine
gonna really piss my dad off i've got no where to put it at home though  where could i leave it?

Wrap it in polythene, and leave it in the hall way with a nice bit of polished wood or an attractive drape over the top, adorned with a flower filled vase and some family photos.
Or you could hide it under the dining table, or you could put it in the sitting room as a coffee table.
Tell him it's the new hall table that your Mum bought and get her to back the story up
I can see a patern emerging here and I think table disguise is the way to go.
You never know, you might get away with it indefinitely
