ignoring that its from PC world, this is the sort of spec i was thinking-
http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/store/pcw_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@0029998517.1129854793@@@@&BV_EngineID=cccladdfmlhhgilcflgceggdhhmdgmh.0&category_oid=-15247&sku=153522&page=Product&fm=0&sm=0&tm=undefined
for games, bit of PS, video editing, and internet. So where can i get that cheaper, and ready built?

Find your local smallish computer shop.
They will be cheaper than pcworld.

i used to really REALLY be against buying a PC as a box mainly because of the price difference if you bought it all seperatly and built it yourself.
But i think times have changed, PCs have came way down in price, and there isnt much difference these days in the price of building it yourself and buying one prebuilt (depending on where you get it from of course).
If you buy all the latest parts and build it theres also the possibility that something will not work well with something else and end up crashing your PC for you, and it all becomes very frustrating.

most prebuild pcs just use cheap components though. better off using less money to buy better quality components at a cheaper price

again, depends where you buy your PC from.
There is a noticable difference between actual computer manufacturers (overclockers etc) and general electrical shops (shuch as PC world / Comet)
