HIA,

My H&R coilover kit comes with all the components to fit at the back... I need to work out first how to fit it all (pics supplied later) but I'm more interested in what I should be replacing along the way, the corsa is a 93' 1.4 8v LS so I'm sure lots needs to be renewed.

If you could list anything I would appreciate it alot

as mentioned above ... the bushes...go for pollybushes... the rest(springs/dampers) are a piece of p1ss... WAYYY easyer than the fronts...

check the rear beam for corrosion too.

worried about the order of stuff.... with th e H&R kit I have a adjustable platform, a spring and the shock/damper bit that goes to the top. Just need to work out the order of the first two items.

Any idea how much the pollybushes would set me back, also whats the advantage?

the advantage is they last about about 10 times longer and have marginal better handling...

for them bushes for the rear beam are £19 each so you will need 2..

get them here--> http://www.tuning.co.uk/vauxshop/

is the kit you have seperate damper and springs for the back or is the back a coilover type?

seperate damper and springs, I dont think its possible to have a 'proper' coilover on the rear.

it is... avo do them... but i wouldnt recomend them...

its simple with the parts you have...

firstly jack up the car onto axel stands..

whip off the wheels
put yer jack under the centre of the rear beam but dont lift the car...
undo the bolts that hole the shocks to the rear beam
let the jack down and pull out the stock springs
then in the boot of the car whip of the damper covers and undo the dampers...

there should be a new set of damper bushes with you kit... throw them on nd them do everythng thin in reverse...

if yer doing the bushes on the rear beam put them in before you bolt the rear beam back to the dampers and do one side at a time... just shack the fook out of the old bushes to get them out...

strange to see there is no covers on the shocks... maybe use the covers on your gm shocks if they fit...

yep... remove the spring seats off the beam(smack them with a hammer and they will come off) then the platforms will sit on the beam nice and the springs on top of them...

my advise would be to set the hieght on the spring platform you want cos its quite difficult to do when everything is bolted up...

rear bushes are a pain in the arse to replace. Not worth doing unless your old ones need replaced.
