Went through some options with my mate at Phones4u earlier, just wondering from experience what people would recommend. Turns out i can afford any phone in the shop so im pretty much open to any phone on the market within reason. Narrowed it down to two I think.
The Sony has the media video player or whatever it is, the samsung doesnt but has dv output i think. Can't really remember any other differences. Any info appreciated Cheers.

W800 purely based on usability
Plus the Camera etc is far far better & you get more memory

Everyone seems to love the sony ericsson phones on here so i wouldnt be surprised if the votes swayed in that direction, im slowly falling for that one. Would be nice to here from a d600 owner though.

Yes! Maybe you can help, two things really... How does the camera quality and video quality compare, and is the sound better on the sony through headphones or playing mp3s through the phones speaker? Sorry for being a perfectionist n that

Camera quality wise the D600 doesn't come close.
Vid quality wise the D600 seems better but I like how you can edit/crop/add audio to the vids with the W800 using the Video DJ feature built into the phone.
As for the speaker is depends what you're wanting to use it for. Loudspeaker wise they seem about the same but the W800 comes with proper (and extremely comfy) earphones, the D600 comes with uncomfy hard plastic ones. Plus you can operate the phone a lot easier whilst having the music running & you can lock the keypad too if needs be.
The TV out feature is OK but would you use i?
From experience of watching 3gp (the file format mobiles record) recordings through my 17" pc monitor I dont see any reason why watching them through a tv would make them any better.

On carphone warehouse it says that phone comes with an audio cable to connect it to a hifi. Can connect it to an aux in socket on a car stereo? Or is there any other way you can listen to the tunes in the car through the headunit?

It'd be one of the TV out sockets I'd presume?
