just been playing around on Rhino3 and Flamingo Rendering, doing a few bits towards my dissertation - Studying Yacht and powercraft design/engineering.
what do you think?

Looks more like a rendering programme rather that a cad package, get yourself on solid edge

All of the above were designed using Rhino 3(which is a CAD design program) and the above pics are renderings done in Flamingo ( a rhino Plug in)

i used inventor or solidoworks to draw in then 3d studio max.
all of whihc i hvae copies of ful versions for asle if u need them

Quite a few CAD packages have photo realistic rendering software built into them because if you go take a technical drawing to a client they will be like "what the fuck"
I love playing about with them... Seeing what it would look like if you had an engine block made of glass is a fun one, especially if you can animate the whole enige to work

i bet, i juts learnt to render glass adn the shadows etc and the items behind it ook ages to render,

it's all eye candy at the end of the day, tutors wanted to see the layout of components so i did that rather than a cutaway or something
