OK, this is a job I have been meaning to get round to sorting for quite a while. Basically, one day I returned to my car and could no longer insert my key into the passenger door lock. The little 'flap/door' which the key pushes open to enter the lock just wouldn't budge.

Is it fairly trivial to remove the lock mechanism and find out why it won't move?

yes, ive completly stipped down a lock barrel and replaced all the internals. There's an array of little springs inside that have a habbit of breaking and stoping the key from turning the lock properly
