been having probs with the way car is runnning recentely and hooked it up to a diagnostic machine and it came up with the EGR valve

is there anyway of disconnecting it and then going for a drive to see what effect it has

am sure i heard about people disconnecting it before

also where is it?

there is a blanking plate u can order from Opel for an astra i think to block it off

i think on the x12xe it's a lot more pricey but dont hold me to that

is there a way of temporily disconnecting the valve without blanking it all off etc?

that doesn't matter too much, just wanna see what happens if i disconnect it, before buying a new one.

am paranoid that this isn't gonna fix my prob, am sure its something else

its on the lower half of the inlet manifold next to the header tank well around the area

there is a cable going to it. Unclip it and see what happens.
