got a cheap rim of ebay 2 practise on and i wanna paint it shinney black

how do i do it?
is it primer, black and laquer?

how many layers of each?

get them powder coated, will last longer and look better

by the time you buy the paint etc and your time it wont be much cheaper. its about £25 a wheel.
Fair play for giving it a try tho.

i would rub thwm down repair any scratches etc, sure you can buy a paste thing for alloys. couple coats of primer rub it down with 1200 wet and dry, degrease it then paint with chosen colour, let it go off, some more wet and dry then laquer it

Yeah powder coating it the probley the best way. I got my brother to do my wheels on my old astra before and they looked good! Dont cost him anything to do it as he does it at work

yea primter them,and gently flat the primer off with 800grit wet and dry,
get a few cans of gloss black,
and a few laquar,3coats of each should be ok,

I rubbed my wheels down and that was enough! Send them away to be done properly, won't cost much more!

depends if u have the patience and general knowledge of it.i can refurb a set of wheels for bout £30.thats what it costs me all in
