Hi.

Bought a set of clocks with a rev counter, came from a 1.4 8 Valve SRi Corsa B, just wondering how I will be able to fit them to my 1.2 8 Valve Merit? I have searched but found nothing, thanks!

Should just slip in and work mate. Wiring should already be their for the rev counter on the 1.2 8v. Does your wiring loom in the dash behind your clocks have a pea green wire on it? If so, just plug and play mate!!

if the wire isnt behind clocks! Take drivers side kick plate off , find the green wire from Ecu then tap a feed wire from that up to clocks n hey presto it works!!! i had to do this for my Digi Dash!

Ok guys cheers, so the redline and revs are the same on the SRi then ? I would have thought the red line on the SRi would have been higher?

i think your rev limiter is 6000rpm, the limiter on the bigger engines is 6500rpm

I mean as in what the engine is capable of revving to, I'll soon find out when I fit the clocks later today, but was just wondering

Yeah I know that, but was wondering if the 1.4 and the 1.2 engines both rev to the same RPM.

its a bit of a lottery as to whether you with have the wiring or not... my 1.2 8v did... sloted the dials with a rev counter in and they worked straight out of the box.....

CM to the best of my knowledge the 12nz engines only rev to 4500rpm...
