hi im thinking about getting a 2ltr corsa B next year and just wondering what they are like for petrol consumption? cuz ive got a 1.4 corsa sport at the moment with induction kit and 4" exhaust and getting about 80 miles out of a tenner. Is petrol consumption alot worse for a 2ltr? cuz i would prob only keep it a year if it is, i realise petrol prices will continue to rise and differ due to location just wanted a rough idea thanks.

i get roughly 280 miles to a full tank. saying 80 miles from £10 means nothing, your fuel could cost 50p a litre or £1.50 a litre

fuel in my area is 85.9 pence a litre at the moment thanks for the rough guide.

Probs be better than that 1.4 as you wont be driving it as hard

yeh u wont be ragging 2ltr as much so engine not working as hard, ive not noticed much difference from my small block xe's

the 1st few weeks, petrol consumption will be stupidly high. mainly because your right foot will be planted all the way down.
then after a few weeks, you realise how much money you've pissed away and don't drive anywhere.
as above though.
280-300 miles full tank.

my mates 2 litre corsa does about 65 miles to a tenner. mixed driving.

Mine is fine i used to drive a 1.2 8v and it uses more petrol than that did but its not really a huge amount more when cruising but if you constantly booting it you will run out fast

I get about 280 miles/tank of petrol on average, and about 28mgp for everyday urban driving. Hope that's of some use to you...
