turned music up last night and my subs went off

Went to main fuse under the bonnet that was fine

took that fuse apart and re wired it and was still the same. Checked the fuses on the amp itself they are all fine as well but still no power to the amp.

So then i bridged the remote wire straight to the power on the amp (blue remote to red 4 gauge power wire) and the power came on but the subs stayed off

Totally baffled does anybody no what could have happened ? or how i can fix it

thanks
jacko

some amps cut out if you overload them, some have a protection mode, some don't, i know you can blow the outputs on the amp, i did it before

i think thats right ^^

maybe you've blown your amp or melted a wire or terminal somewhere? Only thing I can suggest is rewiring it all and see if it works then?

I did it on my setup,,, checked everyfing and it was fine. Ended up that the settings on my headunit had gone and it wasnt set to have the subs working.
