I want to lower the car a little more on the front. This is the first time i've tried to lower it since i got it. See pics below. Got the tool but even using a hammer i just cant get the adjuster to shift. Do i need 2 tools?
I've never adjusted them before so dont really know what i'm doing or which way they're meant to even turn??

get some wd40 sprayed and soak them that will help a lot. common fault is that the threads get rsuted adn seize so spray it loads and apply every 5 mins untill it gets looser and then u cant turn.

once u adjusted them you're ment to grease them or coat them insomething to stop road dirt and rust seizing them

Shouldn't one of the adjustable plates be between the smaller spring at the bottom and the main spring above it?
Rather than the main spring be resting directly ontop of the bottom one?

no cos this would defeat the object of having the smaller spring there, as it would have a fixed ring above and below it, it wouldnt be allowed to compress or expand.
you need to soak the thread in WD40 then undo the locking ring (bottom one), take it down as much as you want then measure the distance between that and the bottom of the coilover. then release the upper ring to lower the spring. bring this down to the lower ring and tighten them against each other. do the same with the other side and lower the bottom ring to the same distance you measured with the first side.

they are right as they are mate, the springs should be like that, thers a blue spacer between the main spring and the helper spring, what size alloys you got on? ive got 17's and i needed the smaller helper spring to lower mine as the platform was hitting the tyre.

also when you have it free, cover the thread in copper grease, good stuff

job done. covered it in WD40 then undid the top one first a bit to separate the two. The bottom one then moved pretty easily....thanks
