Just looking at getting a new digital camera but whats the minimum amount of mega pixels i want to be looking at?

I dont want to spend more then around £250.

Do you want a really small one to fit in your pocket? If not search for the fuji s5600, its quite chunky but has some good features on it and is around £200.

dont worry too much about number of pixels, anything around 250 will have a high enough number not to worry bout it.

Also dont just look for the highest number because an 8 million pixel camera at that price may sound great but in practise its too many pixels for a point and shoot camera, and you end up with noise in the picture. Need to consider lense quality, battery type etc.

And as mentioned before, what are you looking for, a small point and shoot or something bigger, with more zoom and more creativity?
