lol i like honesty
trial and error is only way to make them top quality im gonna give some a go but i need speakers new ones mine are a bit shot before i can make the mdf ring cos i dunno what size to do it without speakers

Looking good mate.
Mayb these could help... Not too good also my first atempts.
Cant find other stage. Basically put the ring in place with hot glue gun and bits of mdf.
Covered in an old T shirt. Fleece would have been better.
Cut a hole in it
Add FG resin.
Use a heater to make it cure quicker.
Add FG mating at the back.
Add FG mating at the front and Key the plastic with rough sand paper and a stanley knife (they need to be held in place will, More so on the passenger side Birds slamming doors etc)

Sand again to key. I used 40grit paper.
Apply bodyfiller
Sand to shape and test fit
Cover them. (More info on this if required)
An idea for the drivers side....
Also Done tweeters Pillar builds if you need any help

thats a better way to do them, but if you wanted to paint them then it would be a lot of work to get them to a good enough finish!
one thing i found was to look out for is if you fold the matting etc over the edged be aware you cant go to thick or you start hit things, if you get me!

Yeah there a little close.
The mid's i used weighed 3.5kg. So they need to be very strong 
As for painting. Its just a case of filler but it would be pretty hard im guessing to get them smooth. As with any way you do it though?
