currently my car has fk coilovers
the back is wound right down and front about halfway. i have powerflex bushes aswell
at present the handling is shite! feels skitish if you know what i mean.

any way the back needs lower so i was considering removing the height adjustable spring seats and getting some koni dampers, possibily whiteline rear anti roll bar.

need help info on good setups
if i do that to the back what would be good setup for front or should i keep current front

i live in rural scotland and drive alot of shitty b roads and around town aswell

cheers

yeh 40 is lowest for best handling

also if u dont have camber on fk's done that will be causing front to be abit dodgy, rear arb are good and koni shocks a must for rear

im changing to koni's altogether as they seem good

i thought the lower the better, even tho i'm just on eibach springs.

well i'm on koni and eibach -50 mm front and spax rsx -60 mm rear but is stripped so it just evens out.

i used to have bilstein kit -45mm and it was like a go kart, really stuck to the road well
will need to try and get the front set up properly somewhere i guess

bin the fk's for a start... konis are great! but.... why spend all that money?

if you can live with the ride i suggest bilsteins ultra low kit from tuning.co.uk...

200 notes... and the car WILL handle... like a dream to be honest...

question on the same point. i have the fk coilovers up front with lowering spring and standard shocks on rear. the car is -40mm all round and ive had the front end set up on the computer. im happy with the ride+handling but would ideally like to change the shocks on the rear any suggestions?

the main reason for wanting to change the shocks is for shorter ones as when the car is on a ramp the srings jump out of the seats which will fail an mot.

btw people, the bilstein cheap kits are a bit poo.

they use bilstein o.e struts (not shortened stroke) and cheap springs. not even made by bilstein in fact, just branded. hence the 1 year guarantee.

for a cheap kit they aint bad, i had them once. but when you upgrade to a 'proper' kit like the bilstein sprintline set-up, you realise how bad the cheap one was. i found it very harsh and bouncy.

no harsh bounciness here... 2.0 lump probably will kill them, a new setup is in the budget, just interested to see what happens
