1.4 16v engine is now in but as soon as u put the key in the engine management light flashes on and off constantly, any1 got any ideas what could cause this

immobiliser is in key, transponder is there as wel as the ecu?
Is this definately an immobiliser problem or could something else be causing this?

it starts but cuts out after 1-2 secs

its a problem with the chip in the key and the transponder on the ignition barrel... are you sure there are matched ones? I.E they are off the same car....? its either that or they are just no close enough....
try taking the chip out of the key and sellowtaping it to the transponder on the ignition barrel it should work then...

earth on the back right of the inlet manifold top (looking from the car front), theres a protruding stud, check it out... i made this mistake twice

As siberia said chip and transponder have to be matched to the ecu, from the same car. Try as said taping the dam things together

lad came today but was unable to bypass the immobiliser, going to get another ecu, chip and transponder and try that, anything else i could try
