Fearing my car may be unrepairable within a reasonable price. I may have to resort to splitting it. Have already had offers for a few things and was wondering if I was looking at the right price.

Have been offered £60 for the interior - door cards and seats, £70 for the four remaining alloys - one needs a tyre replacing, £100 for my pioneer 6 cd changer and head unit, £5 for my colour coded mirror covers. Are these good prices? Ive no idea what I should be asking really

Yeah thats a good point, the whole body kit is intact, would I get more selling bumpers and skirts seperately? Or the whole kit together?

bits separately , more likely to have people wanting a bumper cos theirs is damgaed instead of wanting a whole kit.
i put my spare saxo arches, bonnet, headlights etc on ebay all sold straight away with people offering stupid money for buy it now .

if you sell big parts on ebay such as bonnet id state pickup only or get them to arrange courier to pick up, i had a right fuck about with the guy that bought my bonnet, alot of couriers wouldnt touch it cos its size, took about 3 weeks beforte anyone would pick it up. hassle.

Do you reckon it would be worth breaking it myself or selling it as a damaged car for salvage?

if the damage isnt too much (visually anyway) you could sell it salvage, less hassle.
i bouight a badly damaged 5 month old vtr for 1500, then sold it a year later even more fucked for 1500. and that was with major damage, 5k's worth of damage.

How much did you put it up for? In a local paper? Was it driveable?

OK last question, did you advertise it as damage repairable, salvage, or for spares? and did he ask if you had a valuation on the repairs and why you were selling it?

advertised it as a damage repairable.
he never asked about repair estimates, he said he was going to do it all himself and get it jigged cheap. i just said didnt have the time to get it fixed, and needed a car straight away.
