9198 isn't 10k
And I hope you kow benchmarking is a waste of time.
If you can run everything at the settings you want then the system does the job.

This is what I was referring to.
I never doubted you got 9000 or anything else.
The score will also change depending what drivers you have.
Depends what tweaks are in the latest release to dodge processing certain bits and getting higher fps.

you do know, tweaking your graphics card will eventually melt it. shorten its £500+ price tag life alot sooner than you realise. is it really worth the risk? Just to get high points?
or your just lieing. . . . look, i can make myself a higher mark than you

2947.
Is that a bit low for:
P4 3.0 Ghz with HT @ 3.2 Ghz
1gb Corsair DDR400
Gainward Ultra1960 Golden Sample Nvidia 6600GT, latest Nvidia reference drivers.
All tests ran at 1024x768, Optimal filtering, Pixel and Vertex shaders 3.0, AA Off.

Bart, that is an awesome score mate
I do however agree to some extent to what John is saying. You can benchmark all day if you want but in my experience it just serves to do your head in You keep wanting to get a few extra points and for what? nothing.
My theory is, if the system you have can play the games you want in the way you want, then the computer is doing it's job.
Like i say though, great score
I will be getting my 7800GT soon and hope to oc it slightly to give it that bit of extra power. I'm only doing it because it can be done easily without any risk. Beats me why the release hardware that can do so much better but requires user intervention The OcUK 7800GT comes with 400/1000 clock speeds, these can be pushed to 450/1100 with ease and with no extra cooling.

So they can release one with the "proper" clock speeds months later and charge more for it.
