ok upgrading from 1.2 to 1.6 should have back next two weeks what companies eg d.v.l.a etc do i have to inform i need to be fully road legal no ways i can get screwed by the boys in blue

p.s allready insured it for 1.6 so thats not an issue

on the log book there is a section where you put in new details, just fill in the new engine size and engine number, which is printed on the block somwhere.

no, you only send the bit of the logbook off that you fill in, you keep the other half till the DVLA send you a new logbook with all the new details filled in. If your unluck enough to get stopped the police will gie you a few weeks to produce the new logbook

But surely it would as they write the engine capacity on the tax disc, plus it may be in a higher tax bracket than the 1.2???

probably. i didnt bother, it was changed the next time i got a tax reminder thingy as i went from 1.2 to 2.0

i had to go to the local dvla office for mine.... needed to pay an extra £20

cheers for the advice guys i just need to be totally legal

i got told i have to take my front tints out anyone got a way round that or shall i untint my car?
