looking for a corsa at the moment, but dont know what to go for

ideally id love a sport/sri, but then how are the 1.2 sxi's?

want something with a bit of poke and not something your granny uses once a week

but then its my first car so cant have something too big?

whats your thoughts and experience?

id probably go speedlines, gsi kit or a subtle bumper. no bodykits

cheers, had the option of an sri for £150 this weekend with astra sport alloys

suspected timing belt gone and was going to have it as a project but as usual there was the bad bits...mainly being my folks!

so just keeping an eye out for something good

green sports look the nuts, same with the grey ones!

If its a first car then an SXI is a good option, got a few toys and they look alrite. Got a spoiler and the good interior. The 1.2 16v engine isnt bad, its not quick but its only a 1.2 and it doesnt always go wrong. Mine has'nt let me down in 2 years so far.

looked at a 1.4i flair and tbh it loked balls
blue and turqoise interior, turquoise/mint dials and heater controls

whereas sxi has the better interior etc

also, thinking about the new corsas, going 2 check out the deals on finance etc

no MOT to worry about, warranty and then my mum could get the free insurance and have me as a named driver and id insure her 1.5dci clio so that i had some no claims

not much difference in the insurance between a 1.2 sxi and a 1.4 16v sport.

i had both and the 1.4 was actually cheaper to insure. other users on here had the same thing.

mines a 1.4i 8v basically its just the high torque 1.4 if its ur 1st car its gud to start off in cos it will seem pokey compared to ya mates 1.0 but after 6months or so u do get used to it an it seems slow!

The sxi's a sound car, had no problems in 3 years, and it was doin about 20k a year. It's also quicker than the 1.4 8v so don't bother with them. But if you can afford insurance on a sport - go for it!!!

sell u mine mertin i got rid of the sport, eventually,

i'd say the sxi is the best 1 to go for cos u get all the sport interior and spoiler leccy windows an stuff, just ripe for an engine upgrade when the time comes

My SXi was fine for the 1st year but in the past year I've replaced 4 sensors and they aren't cheap. Other than that its been a good car. Drove a 1.4 16v the other night and it didn't seem any quicker than mine till over 70

you got the turb now?

wouldve considered yours but thought 1.6 would be hefty on insurance as its the equivalent of a gsi?
