My dad had five years protected no claims discount with admiral, made a claim. Does this mean he should have 4 years no claims now as it is protected? Thanks John

no if its protected he shouldnt lose any - You're normally allowed a maximum of 3 claims in 3 years when its protected without losing nay NCD

still 5 yrs. Can normally claim upto 3 times in a year I think if its protected without losing any.

think i recall admiral sending a letter that the ncd's will be reduced? the car was a write-off if that has anything to do with it being reduced. Could it be four years ncd now?

well as long as there is no chance of the ncd being reduced to three years, could they do that? Because I did my dads insurance for him and put 4 years ncd.

no they should def not reduce it at all think i can make 3 claims in 3 years that are my fault and no more than 2 in one year before they reduce it but just depends on insurance companies but i'd be surprised if anyone reduced it for one claim after all the whole point of protected NCB is that it is protected lol!

I think its 5 i certainly couldnt get it til i had 5 years anyway!
