If I need to change the clutch on a 'W' 2000 1 litre , the haynes manual is on about having to remove gearbox etc 
Can this clutch be changed through the inspection cover easily - or is it a job best left for MrClutch ??

im 99% its gearbox off mate not a big box though just got to get the gearlinkage on and adjusted up right

Nah you cant do it through the inspection cover, its box off job. Probably best left to a garage unless your really confident.

this was half of the reason why i decided that i was gonna get rid of the 1.6... had to take the fcuking engine out to change a clutch once...
