I've noticed recently my windscreen wipers aren't going back to their proper resting position when driving along but they always used to. Does this mean the motor is on its way out? If thats what it is are they expensive and how easy is a job is it to do?

Its just one of those little things on my car that annoys me and want to fix

The arms are on properly. They just dont go back to the stationary position when driving along at 60+

Bit like this but not as bad

they go back to the stationary position when sat still or travelling slowly, its just when going faster but they never used to do it

take em off and set them lower than usual so that when they finish the sweep cycle they sit in the right position as this will be slightly higher than what you originally set them at but will appear to be correct

trail an error when adjusting

I've allready done that and it does make them stop at the right place but it then doesn't sweep as much of the windscreen

The threads on your wiper arms! they may be ballsed! I was flying down the motorway @ 80 when mine decided to hit each other and then they must of reset from that position and they tried leaving the car, with the drivers one actually half way into the next lane that was cos the threads had worn! so was not grpping properly under strain. oh the joys of the little annoyin problems
