One of the clips has come off a cv boot on my 106 gti, the boot itself is fine but obviously all the oil is gone. The clip is nackered but could be replaced with an adjustable one, had anyone ever filled up a boot with oil and re-sealed it?
It'll only cost me £2 to find out i guess! if it doesnt work then i'll buy a new 1!

well use a cable tie just as good!! plus its not oil, its grease!!!

its a mesy job, but make sure u clean under the cv boot and joint so there is no grease there for it to slip off on

just pack it with cv grease and secure with a strong cable tie.

job done
