na there was no thread on this for dEF...any advice on Springs! I wud like to know is it okay to have Standard shocks with lowering springs lik 40 - 60mm>
what pros and conds of springs like this

40mm will be ok on standard shocks..But you are better off getting new shocks too...

up to -40mm should be ok, 60 big no no, get the shocks uprated.

I have just done -35mm on 14's and replaced wanky standard shocks for GSi shocks just to be safe. Not quite same as u asked for, but here is mine:

wat shocks wud you reckon to go for then? like are these expensive sports shocks like gmax way better than standard?
is driving ok with standard and lowering springs?

wat are gsi shocks wats the difference can u tell me plz? i have 13s at present and im goin get 15s and lower the car? that why im doin this thread for advice

Try and get a suspension kit mate - with shocks and springs included. You can use standard shocks, but the ride wont be as good, and they will wear out very quickly on lowering springs. A lot of people on here slag off GMAX btw, altho I have just put these on my car, and also know a lot of people who have used them for ages with no problems

GSi shocks are slightly stiffer than the standard ones I think

mav's corsa had a 2.0 litre lump in it. thats why it sits lower at the front.

Ul bounce like fcuk on standard shocks with low lowering springs! And then ul bugger up the shocks pretty quickly - the standard shocks are designed for the standard springs. Uprated shocks that are available, are designed for uprated/lowering springs
