Is this possible??
I can do Direct Debits & all other account bits, as it is a regular bank account, but the bank wont give me a debit card 
How can I go about this??

All contracts you can pay via direct debit 
Either than or send them a cheque, or take cash into a post office/bank, etc, etc...
Never needed a debit card for any of mine.

no as HSBC are just plain shit...
I am seriously debating moving banks... hell, they wouldnt even change my account to a student account since i started a full time course at john moores in liverpool

dont think there is a way round it
most places dont accept visa electron
but will accept solo

hsbc give solo cards as there basic account as thats what i have
