ok I know this issn't strictly a corsa related question but could does anyone know what main parts in an engine are lubricated by pressure, drip and mist?

need to know for an assignment which is due in tomorrow, spent the past 2 hours on google with no luck - too much stuff on there to actually find what i'm looking for is my excuse.

cheers

i dont get the question 100%

pressure is needed to pump the oil round the engine.... how can pressure alone lubricate something? To create a mist/spray (piston cooling etc) you need pressure. You need pressure to drip too ..... how does the oil get to the 'top' to drip down without pressure

Big ends, Mains are pressure fed, on modern 16v engines so car cams.

As for drip and mist, not really heard those terms before, the rotax bike engines don't use oil pressure for lubiracation so maybe worth lookign at then, they have an arrangement fo slingers and things to do the job.
