I've got a router (Netger DG834G) that all my machines at home connect through (3 computers and 1 laptop)

I remote into this router from work all the time and all of a sudden today it just went offline. At first i didnt think much of it.

But now when i'm trying to download a file from somewhere i.e. Microsoft.com or Download.com, when i click the save button on the download window...nothing happens (the download windows just disapears) . At first i thought it was just something to do with the machine, but it does exactly the same thing on another

And if i go on my laptop..and try and download a file from any site, it just says "The connection to the server was reset"

i'm stumped

I've just tried it on another computer that's on the wireless network and it doing the same thing also

this can't be a virus...cos the machine i've just tried has hardly been on the internet.

check router logs, sounds like its going up and down like a yoyo. If this is the case id be guessing your using phone extentions, play about with the placment of the phone also, infact unplugging your phone you may noticed it works fine. ADSL is really funny with telephone / extention routes.
