Author spax rsx coilover kit problem??

i have fitted my coilovers today, had a little problem on the front though. when i put all the components on such as spring, bump stop,spax top cover, vaux mount, vaux aluminium spacer and then rubber but i was not able to fit the nut onto the thread.. does anybody know how to slove this??? i tried to use spring clamps but would not work as they would catch on the damper,, any ideas??

have you screw both the lock nuts to the bottom? it makes it easier to fit everyhin on. thts what i did anyway and it seemd to work.

i tired different times, i bolted the bottom up and jacked it up that way but still wouldnt work

see the part that the spring sits on that you adjust to adjust the height.screw that right down to the bottom and everything will be fine.then screw it back up till ur happy with the ride height

yes that is the part, is it really important?? i also took the spring right down and still not enough room

also a bit of subject but does anybody know how to take the front mudflaps off??

you need to lift the dampers out then

wind the spring down to 1/4height

put the bits on like pictured above & then the nut on top & then pull the damper shaft upwards (gently) will take a good pull tho

should give you enough room to play then

by pulling the shaft up, you can also do the spring at full height

also what did you guys use on the threads to protect it against the shit of the road? did you just put it on the front thread or anywhere else?

i never put anything on the threads, still seem to move ok for me and mine have been on for ages!
