I was off ill yesterday and was bored so I went into my back garden for some air and took my camera and the only thing interesting thing I could find was there flowers -

I know its not all in focus but I think that adds to the picture, couldn't get the shutter speed to hand hold it wide open and get the iso I wanted.

Well to be fair to me it was hand held at 300mm, the centre is not out of focus though is it?, I don't think it's cold but fair do's.

Why do you reckon that is? As I said before it was a bit dark so I couldn't get a decent shutter speed apart from to drop the aperture. So do you reckon it was the aperture or camera shake?

the petals on the left are OOF due to aperture.

Cheers Nismo, Vibs I know it wasn't the best photo (I still like it though). It was one of my first with a macro setting and it would have been better at f8 or so I guess. But I took it not wanting to change iso.

What settings would you have used out of interest on a Darkish day, 300mm macro?

tripod and not use such long focal length either. you get more DOF with a wider angle
