Ive heard of people cutting the arches etc after lowering, well im on 15" wheels with 50 profile tyres, can I lower my car 30/40ml without getting problems from my arches?

I want a cheap lowering, is it okay just to buy springs or do i have to go for the full works? Any recomendations..

The offset off ur wheels ?? That wud help mate

even with a shocking offset, 40mm should be fine

also, 40mm should be ok on standard dampers, or the slightly better dampers from a Gsi/Sport, obviously a full suspesnion kit is better

if the offset is between 43 and 49 you'll be able to go down 60mm (or more if you dont like your sump) but you'll want to go for dampers as well as springs

Thanks for the advice, good to know that I can lower 40mm and be okay, gona just by springs I think, unless come across cheap shocks.

Dont want to go too low as its bit unpractical! Dont know my offset sorry.

How much you talking for a set of springs out ofinterest?

Is there anywhere on the net you would recommend buying? Sorry to be a pest, but I priced springs to day and they were looking £90, if they were cheaper on the net i would get them there instead

i'm down 60mm on 15's with 50 profiles on... ET49 though
