wots the standard rev limit of a 1.6 16v corsa??
i changed engine at the weekend, my 1.4 16v sport revved to just before 6.5k and it hit the limit, the 1.6 16v goes right round to 7.5k
my old gsi stopped just before 7

i have no rev limit on my corsa, gota fit one really to make it safe!!

late x14xe and x16xe is 6800 rpm
early x14xe is 6500 rpm
c16xe is 6500 rpm i think
x16xel is 6500.

must have a raised rev limit. possibly a superchip, they raise the limit to 7200 on the x16xe

what is a safe limit to put it at?
and also are these ones that you attach to a coil any gd?
ive seen one with launch control for £125 in Demon tweeks, think they are an gd, called Optimak or sumthing like that!

im pretty sure the rev limit on the C16XE is like 6.7k or or so mine will happily rev altho never let it hit the limiter not much point with a standard inlet and ecu

Cannot be good for a standard 1.6 to go over 7k. I wouldn't want to take my car to that revs with or without a rev limiter

mine is 6500 standard limit, but goes around 6700 mark on dials before limiter kicks in...
