I've got the w800 and notice the transfer rates for mp3 to phone are pretty slow compared to my ipod. Just wondered, if there's a programme out there that can compress MP3 files further to make them smaller and thus make them transfer quicker to my phone. If there's any way possible to speed up the process could someone let me know as it's pretty annoying when it takes like 1 1/2 minutes for one song compared to 2seconds for the ipod??

ipod is usb 2........get a usb2 card reader and put the card into the card reader and drag and drop
alternativley-wait a few more seconds

1 1/2? How many songs are you uploading?
I use the correct 'Disc2Phone' software available from the sonyericsson website and that take 15-20secs per song to upload (MAX)

Okay maybe i exaggerated about the transfer time  just noticed that the transfer isnt instantaneous unlike the ipod, cheers for the advice Munchie
