It's a small filter (imagine a mini induction kit) Which vent's petrol fume's to the atmosphere instead of back in to the engine. So in theory the car is sucking in cleaner air. The downside is that your engine bay will stink! The fume's can also come in to the cabin through the vent's, depending on where you mount it. It's also not very good for the environment!

Its none of the above... it stops oil been drawn back in through the inlet from the rocker cover, instead it just drops back onto the cams
basically you drill holes in the plate under the rocker cover

quote: Replacing the pipe from the front of the rocker cover with two short lengths of straight pipe, an oil seperator inbetween and replacing the pipe from the back of the rocker cover to the inlet pipe, and the one to the throttle body
mainly for ecotec engines?

Mines been drilled out, though I have never taken mine any higher than second gear... It's MattB's rocler cover off of his LET though, which used to belong to the guy who runs that website... In fact, I think that might be my rocker cover
