hey

Need an alarm for the corsa b asap, Gap Security seem to be advised everywhere and deal with Clifford alarms only (from the looks of their website anyway..)

Good/Bad stories of above? Gap Security are quite attractive seeing as they will come to the house and fit it for me. Though don't mind making a special trip somewhere if they arent the guys to be bothering...

comments welcome

They are alright... Though they cut the bonnet sensor wire off because the fitted the sensor in the wrong place to eliminate the fault. Kinda annoying really. Plus they didn't make the proximity sensor sensetive enough so I need to get than sorted... You have to accept that everyone in the car world are cowboys really.

Steer clear, caused me a nightmare with the concept 650, proximity sensor didnt work at all, then suddenly worked and kept going off every ten minutes, then didnt work at all again etc etc etc. Also got times when i was unable to disarm the alarm at all.

gap were hopeless
came and fitted the alarm and did a fairly good job.
they're quite happy to come out and give good service when there's money changing hands, but you have to hope you don't need to call them back out for warranty work, because then they're not so good.

i would never use them again.

Grr had one fitted by GAP last year and had it serviced by my Local Clifford dealer only to be told that it wasn't up to CAT 1 standard due to the wirring.

Cost £40 to get the wirring up to standard in the end so that I could get a new certificate issued for my insurance.

Would never go to them again, as their customer service is awfull!
