When I fitted my lexus lights, I used the bulbs which where already in my standard lights (except from the indicators that came with the lexus lights).

This was 1 week ago and I'm pretty sure that all the lights where working, and yesterday I noticed that my rear lights were very bright, and when I brake they hardly brighten up, its like they are my fog lights.

Do I need a certain bulb for the rear/brake light?

Thanks

yeah you need to get a double filament light bulb as the standard lights have seperate brake/tail lights where the lexus are combined. They are pretty easy to get hold of

edit: just go to any car shop and ask for a combined brake/tail light bulb

Also chack that they are in the right way round when you fit them as if they are upside down they will not work properly

Ah right, thanks

Just 1 thing, I am pretty sure that it was working at 1 point, with the standerd bulbs from original lights.

Just driving home then and I'm blinding everyone behind me

Edit: All bulbs that i put into the blake/rear light holder, is just as bright as any i put in the rear fog light

it sounds like you are using an incorrect bulb which is lighting up as much as the brake light would - the double filament bulb will have one filament for tail-lights (dim) and one for brakes (brighter).

As long as they are in the right way up (trial and error) they should work as normal

the bulb you get should have the one up one down pins on the side so you can only put them in one way!

I dont understand how I can put a bulb in the wrong way round, they are just like standerd light bulbs, two pins, either side.

I have just put the standerd lights holder in and put two bulbs in, one in rear, one in brake, and the rear light works, not sure if its too bright tough, and the brake light works, BUT...

The brake light, stays on of I have my lights on

Bulb problem? Just don't want to go and buy new bulbs if this aint the case

how many bulbs are in your lexus lights? if there is 4 bulbs then you need a dual filament brake/sidelight bulb, there are two connections on the bottom of a dual filament bulb rather than one on a single filament bulb.
