Will be ok as long you dont drive it. You are allowed to drive the car to the garage to get the MOT done but thats it

not true if you crash your insurance is void and then you are in big trouble so lots more can be done to you when driving with no MOT

as long as you've got an appointment for your MOT booked then yeah you can drive it to the test centre legally other than that leave it at home

I traded my old Corsa in for my current one on the understanding that my old Corsa had an MOT. Had a week till I was going to go back and pick my new Corsa up.

I got home, dug out the MOT certificate... 1 month out of date
So had to put it through its MOT otherwise I couldn't get my new Corsa

I really don't understand why the DVLA or whoever dont send you a reminder about your MOT in the same way they do about your car tax cos there is alot of people that forget about it

The new style MOT certificates have a sticker on that you can peel off and stick on your windscreen or somewhere to remind you. At my dads garage we send MOT reminders to our customers, so they have no excuse.

Some Garages (main dealers n the like) have started putting theer new MOT's on the DVLA Data base so the 5-0's can check ALL your Cars info over the Radio, so maybe they might be intergrating a reminder thinngy in with that!?

where do you keep your car?

If it is kept on the side of the road then you may get a fine, but thats only if anything happens to ya car, as you dont get a fine automatically, you need to be asked to produce your documents by the cops
