Basically my ariel (sp?) has gone nuts, crackling etc.
so i've just stuck some speaker wire in back of head unit and held it up and it works fine, also checked arieal and thats fine, so guessing the problem is somewhere in the wire between ariel and head unit.
so gonna stick some new wire between ariel mount and head unit.
what i wanna know is where abouts does original wiring for arial run? might try and plug into it half way down (if the current fault is fairly near headunit).
also are there any earths etc i need to be aware of or is it basically 1 wire that runs from headunit to ariel?

found the bit that unclips and tested it.... no help there though, still doesn't tune properly. so when i find some longer wire i'm gonna run it from headunit to ariel base (some how) and if that's alright i'll run it down to the ariel (hopefully same path as it takes now)

Sorry to ask a silly question. Can I buy this cable from Halfords? Is it just a standard arial cable? Or will I need to modify it to fit?

best of getting one out another corsa matey. its got a springy clip and the other bit to fit in back of aeiral so will be better to just rob one from a scrappy.
unless u're any good at wiring etc, then you shouldn't have any problems cutting/soldering/taping up
